Job Description

Our client in the NE metro (White Bear Lake area) is adding a "Staff Accountant" to the team. Some highlights:

Job Description:

  • Manages day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payment collection, and maintenance of customer records.
  • Supports payroll activities such as recording general ledger entries, performing reconciliations and analysis, and completing ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Executes month-end and year-end closing responsibilities, including preparing and posting journal entries and maintaining assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly variance reports and provides related insights.
  • Assists with quarterly inventory audits.
  • Contributes to special projects and provides backup support across accounting functions.
  • Maintains customer documentation, ensuring proper tax exemption handling for compliance and reporting.
  • Supports interim and year-end audit activities, preparing required workpapers and analyses.
  • Develops and maintains procedural documentation for assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of related accounting experience (preference towards Accounts Receivable - full cycle)
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
